Ricardo Souza is a Naval and Oceanic Engineer with a specialization in Transportation from the Escola Politécnica of the Universidade de São Paulo (Poli-USP), with a Master's in Naval and Oceanic Engineering with a specialization in Logistics from the same institution, in addition to an MBA in Business Management from the Fundação Dom Cabral (FDC) and a Post-MBA in Marketing, Negotiation and Leadership from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Ricardo began his career as a Project Coordinator for the Naval and Oceanic Engineering department at the Escola Politécnica of USP, where he developed fleet sizing projects, feasibility assessments of Distribution Centers, location of Distribution Centers, and milk-run planning, among others. He then became a Logistics Project Coordinator at Coimex Logística Integrada S.A., working on the implementation of logistics services in the Distribution Center and Distribution Management areas.
He also worked at Vale S.A. as a Senior Business Analyst, responsible for evaluating investment projects, market analysis, and evaluating the costs of railway services, as well as strategic planning and pricing. Before joining RGF, he worked for 14 years as an Executive Manager of Business Development and Strategies at Ultracargo, where he was responsible for the Strategic Planning and Management, Market Intelligence, and Innovation Management areas. During this period, he led projects for M&A; bids for new port terminals (Vila do Conde-PA and Itaqui-MA); renewals of port leasing contracts with the granting power; and the approval of a new long-term strategy for the company.
Ricardo brings all of his professional experience to RGF to help clients in the elaboration of new strategies, the development of new businesses, and the implementation of already defined strategies.
