The RGF Judicial Recovery Monitor in Brazil is a platform that gathers data about the health of sectors of the Brazilian economy based on a fundamental reference: the number of companies in Judicial Recovery.

The Monitor displays the Judicial Recovery Index (IRJ-RGF), which indicates the number of companies in Judicial Recovery per thousand companies, with perspectives at the country, region, state, and sector levels.

Universe of surveyed companies:

As of June 2023, the number of monitored companies is around 2.1 million. These are the parent companies of active businesses of small, medium, and large sizes.

Aiming to create a consolidated view of companies with the most significant social and economic influence, the following were excluded from the analysis universe: Companies with inactive CNPJs (similar to a business registration number in Brazil); Microenterprises (MEs), as there isn’t a significant number in Judicial Recovery compared to the total number of companies of this type; NGOs and government entities; Branches, in order to count the company as a single legal unit.
